Our family has a tradition of taking an evening hike in the mountains above Boise every summer solstice that we are in town. I love that there is usually just a wee bit of snow left on the north facing slopes. This image comes from our 2022 Solstice hike. The original version of this painting was donated to the Bogus Bash, which raises funds for year-round recreation at Bogus Basin Mountain Resort.
